Creating a reservation

Step-by-step guide to making a new booking

While clients can book through the app, you can also create manual reservations. This is useful for walk-in clients or phone bookings.

To start, click the New reservation button in the Reservations tab.

Select the client

Every reservation must be linked to a client.

  • Existing client: search for a specific client by their name or contact number, and select them from the list.
  • New client: you can quickly add a new client by clicking the New client button and entering their details. See Adding a client for more details.

If you open the reservation form from a client details page, the client will be pre-selected.

Choose the trip

Select the trip the client wants to book.

  • Search: you can search by trip name or serial number.

If you open the reservation form from a trip details page, the trip will be pre-selected.

Guest details

Enter the number of travelers:

  • Adults: the number of adults in the reservation.
  • Children: the number of children in the reservation, if any.

Note

The system will automatically calculate the total price based on the trip's pricing rules.

Initial payment

You can record an immediate payment if the client is paying right now. If they are paying later, leave the Amount paid as 0. The reservation will be created with a Payment pending status.

  • Amount paid: Enter the amount received.

You can also add a reservation as cancelled for administrative purposes. If you select this option, a field will appear to enter the amount refunded to the client, if any.

Confirm

Review the details and click the Save reservation button. The reservation is now saved, and the trip's capacity and financials are updated.
