Creating a discount code
Setting up a new promotional campaign
You can create as many discount codes as you want to support your marketing strategies.
How to create a code
Navigate to the Discount Codes section and click the New discount code button.
Enter the code name: This is the text clients will type at checkout (e.g., SUMMER2026).
Note
Codes are automatically converted to uppercase and must be unique.
Important
Avoid using letters and numbers that look very similar in your codes, such as 0 (zero) and O (capital o), or I (capital i) or l (lowercase L). This helps prevent confusion for your clients.
Recommended characters:- Uppercase letters except I, O, L
- Numbers except 0, 1
Select the discount type: choose between a percentage discount (%) or a fixed amount (EGP). See Types of discount codes for guidance.
Set the value: enter the discount amount.
Configure limits: (optional)
- Usage limit: set a maximum number of times this code can be used globally.
- Expiration date: choose a date when the code will automatically stop working.
Apply restrictions: (optional)
See Code restrictions for more advanced usage rules.
- New clients only: check this box to limit the code to first-time bookers.
- Specific trips: select specific trips if you want the code to apply only to certain inventory.
Click the Save discount code button to activate the code immediately.
Best practices
- Keep codes short: short, memorable codes (like
SAVE20) are easier for customers to use. - Use clear names: use names that indicate the offer (e.g.,
EARLYBIRDfor early booking discounts). - Set expirations: create urgency by setting an expiration date for your campaigns.
