Setting restrictions

Controlling the scope and availability of your promotions

Restrictions allow you to target your promotions effectively and prevent overuse. You can combine multiple restrictions to create precise campaigns.

Usage limit

The usage limit controls the total number of times a code can be redeemed across all customers.

  • Example: set a limit of 100 for a "first 100 customers" flash sale.
  • Behavior: once the code has been used 100 times, it will automatically become invalid for subsequent customers.
  • Unlimited: leave this field empty to allow unlimited uses.

Expiration date

Set a specific date and time when the discount code will stop working.

  • Example: create a code that expires at midnight on New Year's Eve.
  • Behavior: clients attempting to use the code after this date will receive an error message.

New customers only

Enable this option to restrict the code to first-time customers only.

  • How it works: the system checks if the customer has any previous completed bookings.
  • Use case: great for "welcome" offers to acquire new clients without discounting your loyal base.

Specific trips

By default, a discount code applies to all trips. You can restrict it to specific trips to push inventory or run targeted promotions.

  • How it works: select one or more trips from the dropdown list.
  • Behavior: the code will only be valid if the customer is booking one of the selected trips.

Combining restrictions

All active restrictions must be met for a code to be valid. For example, if you set a code for new customers only AND a specific trip, a returning customer trying to book the specific trip will not be able to use it.
