Understanding permissions

A complete guide to system access controls

Permissions determine exactly what a user can see and do within the dashboard. They are made up of a Resource (e.g., trips, clients) and an Action (view or modify).

Permission types

For most resources, you will see two types of permissions:

  • View: allows the user to see the resource and its details.
  • Modify: allows the user to add new items to the system, modify existing records, or remove records.

Note

Internally, the system uses separate permissions for Create, Update, and Delete actions on each resource. For clarity and simplicity, these are grouped as "Modify". If your team needs more detailed control over create, update, and delete permissions, please let us know, we would appreciate your feedback.

Available resources

Below is a summary of the available resources, each one has its own View and Modify permissions:

  • Trips: manage your travel inventory.
  • Reservations: manage bookings and orders.
  • Clients: access your customer database.
  • Employees: manage your team.
  • Analytics: access dashboard analytics and reporting.
  • Finance: access sensitive financial data.
  • Discount codes: manage marketing campaigns.
  • National IDs: view and verify client's identity documents.
